NATURE may be a new name, but our story began more than 11 years ago.

ECOLENA, our independent boutique, was founded in Bowral in the beautiful Southern Highlands of New South Wales with a simple idea — to offer women clothing that feels as good to wear as it looks.

Our little store grew and evolved, along with the women who shop with us. What began as a local Bowral boutique has developed into a thriving in-store and online community, with customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Along the way, our direction became clearer. We found ourselves increasingly drawn to beautiful natural fabrics — linen, cotton, wool, merino, alpaca, cashmere and silk — and to clothing with individuality, quality and longevity.

We became more selective about what we stocked and the labels we worked with. Rather than following fast-moving trends, we wanted to build collections around pieces that feel special, wear beautifully and can remain part of a wardrobe for years.

And eventually, ECOLENA simply no longer felt like the right name for who we had become.

In 2026, as we moved into our beautiful new Bowral store, it felt like the perfect time for our next chapter.

The change is more than a new sign above the door. NATURE reflects the direction our business has naturally taken over the years: a stronger focus on natural fibres, thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and clothing with character.

But the heart of the business hasn't changed. We are still the same independent Bowral boutique, the same family business, the same people behind it, and the same team who carefully choose what comes into our store, pack your online orders and help our customers find pieces they genuinely love.
